How to Create and Update Currencies

Okay, let’s create a currency for your project.

On the left, click on Currency.

We already have a predefined currency here for USD and THB. Now, let’s add the Euro to this list.

Note, we are going to choose the exchange rate also, which is currently 36.67.

You can also edit currencies you have already created, like this: change the description from THB to the words Thai baht.

Also at the top of this page, this is where you choose the base currency and the totals and subtotals currency.

The base currency is simply what you are creating the budget in. For this budget, it is for a series being shot in Thailand, so we are going to choose Thai baht.

And now we want to change the totals and subtotals currency to USD, because the movie studio we are working for is back in the US, and they are funding this with USD.

So now, all throughout the budget, you can edit and create rates in Thai baht on your line items, but the subtotals and totals will be in USD. IF you want to have USD for all, change both to USD.

And that is currency. And now, you can see the predefined currencies, such as Thai Baht and USD. For example, if you want to add another, like Euro, you can enter it here, and then enter a rate, like ‘36.67’.

Now you have successfully inserted a new currency. You can also change the description by double-tapping; you can change it here.
