Organization Level General Ledger (GL) Walkthrough

I’m going to walk you through the Organization’s General Ledger. Here, is where you can see all accounting entries across every project in your organization in one place.

This report is mainly used by finance teams, accountants, and admins who need a full financial picture of the entire organization, rather than just at a single project view.

Every approved transaction from every project—including expenses, payroll, petty cash, and payments—eventually ends up here. Think of this as the ‘single source of truth’ for your organization’s accounting.

While a Project GL shows entries for only one project, the Organization GL combines multiple projects, cost centers, and departments using one shared Chart of Accounts.

This allows you to answer high-level questions like: ‘How much did we spend this month across all projects?’ or ‘What are our total payroll liabilities?’.

You can filter by specific projects or accounts, choose a date range, search for specific entries, and export the data for external analysis.

This report serves as the backbone of your organization’s accounting.
